At the Mooiberge Farmstall, a favorite halfway stop of mine between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, there is always something interesting to see. I just love taking my camera and explore around the area and take random photographs. The interesting scarecrows and sculptures as well as the spectacular backdrop presents a photographer with marvelous opportunities.

Inside you will find a large selection of dried fruits and nuts, fruits, cold drinks, ice creams and sweets. There is also an underground cellar with a large number of vintage wines dating from the 1970's through the 1980's.

While the older vintages have a rest in the cellar below, the vintages of the 1990's and the New Millennium, is having fun upstairs on the shelves in the wine shop. Here they have a equally impressive range of Estate wines, Liqueurs, Brandy and Whiskey.

They also stock a comprehensive range of Oak Barrels, Vats and Casks, as well as other Oak bowls and utensils.

Adjacent to the shop is The Farmer's Kitchen restaurant, with a relaxed, yet stylish, interior. Everything is made fresh in the restaurant from the lamb burgers to their own pizza bases, sauce and cakes. Coffee, wine, good food, sweets and strawberries all make The Farmer's Kitchen the perfect place to spend the day with your children.

Then there is also Thirsty Scarecrow, a watering hole that offers tasty tapas and a wide range of craft beers on tap. Come enjoy one of your favourite local beers and some great food to go with it while you experience the best view in the Winelands at Mooiberge strawberry farm.
