The Bottelary Hills Pop Up Lunch returns to Hartenberg Wine Estate on 28 May 2017

Hand-crafted wine and soul food are a match made in heaven and Hartenberg Wine Estate, situated in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands, invites you to embark on a journey of sensory experiences at this year’s Bottelary Hills Pop Lunch on Sunday, 28 May. Be enthralled as highly acclaimed Chef George Jardine treats your senses to a day of traditional cuisine paired with superb wines.

Part of a series of winery lunches, this Stellenbosch event has grown to become a highlight on the food and wine-lovers calendar. This not to be missed annual taste exploration showcases the diversity Hartenberg’s wines, which is also the perfect opportunity to engage with the winemaking team.

This year guests will get insight to Hartenberg’s heritage which dates back to 1692. The farm lies in a valley on the free-draining, north-eastern slopes of the Bottelary Hills where its vineyards were planted to take most advantage of either morning or afternoon sun. There is a difference in altitude of some 250m between the vineyards, providing sought-after diversity to its portfolio.

Tickets cost R550 per person and includes a wine tasting prior to lunch, followed by a delectable three-course feast as well as wines paired with each course. Each person will also get a bottle of Hartenberg wine to take home.

Pre-booking is essential as seating is limited. For bookings and more information visit www.wineroute.co.za or phone 021 886 8275.
