Ease into 2018 with the first Winelands festival of the season

Mother Nature’s annual bounty of grapes has always been a cause for celebration at Delheim, the famous Stellenbosch wine estate. This year’s Delheim Harvest Festival will however, adopt refreshed style when it returns for one day only, on Saturday, 27 January.

Picture an afternoon of laughter and bonhomie in the cool shade of the giant oak trees. Along with the opportunity to share in grape picking and stomping and the delights of outstanding wine, there is also great food and live music entertainment by the multi-instrumentalist rock folk duo, Bottomless Coffee Band.

Out with the old and in with the new, the Delheim Harvest Festival invites guests to come and relax at one long harvest table, whilst feasting on sumptuous harvest fare.

It’s an out-of-this-world spread for fun-loving grown-ups, sharing in the spirit of kinship at the table of the winemakers and Delheim family.

This year, only 120 seats are available – a reason to book as soon as possible. Make it a group affair and bring some friends along! You too can discover the truth in Delheim’s promise brandished on its logo: Delheim - Worth The Journey.

The annual harvest festival toasts these fruits of the season and highlights the importance of communal celebration to the family. It’s about food and wine lovers coming together; and, just as hard as the Delheim team works during harvest, so too can it party as true acolytes of Bacchus.

The Delheim Harvest Festival gets underway at 11:30, with the harvest feast served at 13h00. Grape picking starts at 12h00 and stomping takes place after lunch. Dress comfortable for these fun activities.

Tickets cost R650 per person with each including a seat at the long table; a bottle of Delheim wine per couple; as well as grape-stomping action and live music. For all your happy sipping needs a cash bar will be available, featuring selected Delheim wines.

A long table for the youngsters will also be provided. Tickets for children cost R120 but those under four get in for free.

To book your tickets, contact Charlotte Briers-Louw on email charlotte@delheim.com or tel: 021 888 4600. Also visit www.delheim.com or find them on FacebookInstagram and on Twitter.
