The grape, small and unpretentious, yet responsible for a worldwide phenomenon which has resulted in a plethora of superb wine varietals we have come to love and appreciate throughout the years.

On Saturday, 24 March Anthonij Rupert Wyne Estate in Franschhoek will pay homage to this bountiful fruit by hosting a special grape inspired lunch.

The lunch, which will take place throughout the day on the terrace at Anthonij Rupert Tasting Room, will feature an appetizing three-course harvest style lunch. On arrival guests will be welcomed with a glass of L’Ormarins Blanc de Blancs 2012 and variety of wines from the estate’s Cape of Good Hope range will be served throughout the meal. The menu has been crafted to incorporate different elements of the grape, such verjuice, raisins and vine leaves. The culinary team will work their magic to incorporate as many if not all the elements of this magical fruit.

The cost is R550 per person and includes a three-course lunch, wines and gratuity. To book contact the estate on 021 874 9074 or email tasting@rupertwines.com.
